The *&^%$# generator ran just fine today. Started this morning. Still going. No problems.
We are "boon-docking" at Shawn's brother's house and have water, and the now the genny, and are quite comfortable. We will be here for (insert number) days and then Shawn is going to fly to Boston to visit her niece and I will stay in the local area (VA, MD, DC?) and do day visits to bro's and sister, and maybe even my aunt & uncle who I haven't seen in years.
The new carb for the generator arrived. It's beautiful. I will install it when I receive the new fuel pump.
I took the TPMS receiver/display apart and used an X-ACTO knife to carve out the little hole over the light sensor in order to let in more daylight. It seemed to make the unit stay on "full bright" better. I still had tires drop out and in, so today I installed new batteries in all the tire sensors. They all seem to be on-line ok, but the real test will be when I next drive the rig.
By the way, the RV Park we stayed at in Luray was in-freaking-credable! It has over 800 RV slots, probably 50 camping cabins, and five identical Airstream campers lined up in their own special area for "Glamping." It also had a pool, a "water park', basketball courts, pickle ball courts, a BMX track for big kids, and a smaller BMX course for little kids. And that's just what I remember. Oh yeah, and they were almost completely filled up and had to search for an open spot when we called. It is definitely a "destination vacation" spot for families and not just a park for overnighters visiting the caverns. I gotta say I was very impressed.
We had a nice lunch with Sam & Charlotte at a really good Greek restaurant today. And it's raining right now so we are in for the night.
That's it for today. More tomorrow? Maybe. Perhaps. Who knows.
