Friday, September 15, 2023 - Luray, VA

Here we are in Lurey, VA, and yes, we are going to go to the world-famous Luray Caverns tomorrow.  We have tickets for the 9 AM tour which means we have to leave this RV Camp (Luray RV Park, which although it shares the same name is 20 miles away on the road described below) at about 8.

The Cummins Dealer worked on the generator this morning.  They started about 9 and we got the rig back at Noon and pointed the headlights North.  Thirty miles up the road the genny failed again.  Just stopped running.  No error codes that make any sense.

Shawn got on-line and ordered a new carburetor for the thing and is having it shipped to her brother's house.  It looks like a simple easy-swap deal.  Ya' know, "a five-minute job."  (Kevin)  If that don't do the trick the "circuit board" is next.  Dunno where it's located, Dunno what it costs, Don't care.  It's next.

I'm totally stressed.  Shawn drove the last 50 miles and DID A GREAT JOB!  No problems at all!  Not even on a narrow, winding road, with no shoulders and a three-foot drop-off to a one mile fall off a shear granite cliff into a raging river filled with man-eating sharks, Piranhas, and other bad thingies. She did a GREAT JOB!

I'm totally stressed.

It's a Del Monte thing.

More tomorrow if I survive the day.
